“Port Sultan Qaboos has facilities to handle Liquid bulk carried in specially built vessels (i.e. tankers), loaded and unloaded via pipelines and mobile pumps. The different types of liquid bulk cargo include edible oils; Bitumen; Liquid chemicals etc.
The terminal can accommodate vessels of up to 30,000 tones in displacement. The cargoes are efficiently discharged with a maximum rated capacity of up to 1000 tones per hour.
A storage tanks with 2000 tones capacity with pipeline connectivity to the berth is available for bitumen. Edible oil and chemicals are directly delivered to the storage of the importers located in the hinterland”.
