The facilities empower our customers to move different types of cargo through the port.  The port provides efficient round-the-clock service ensuring quick turn a round. Round-the-Clock-Pilotage services. With its extensive and modern facilities, Port Sultan Qaboos has made its mark in the International Shipping Circle.

Service to Vessels

There are specialized terminal facilities to accommodate different types of vessels such as container, non-containerized multi-purpose cargo carriers, Pure Car Carriers, Live Stock Carriers and bulk – Liquid / Dry carriers, cruise vessels, naval vessels and others. There are eight deep water berths for commercial operations, one berth for ferry services and four berths under government use.  

 

Harbour and Other Services

  • Pilotage: The port provides pilotage and tug services to all types of vessels.
  • Marine Crafts: Port Sultan Qaboos is equipped with the modern marine craft which provide a wide range of sophisticated services to meet various requirements. It's fleet of 4 powerful tugs provides fire fighting and anti pollution capabilities.
  • Bunkering facilities:Port Services Corporation is now attracting shipping lines for off-shore anchorage at Port Sultan Qaboos and at the West of Mina Al Fahal. The anchorage facilities provide a safe haven for the liners and facilitate anchorage for change of crew, bunkering, heavy fuel bunkering, supply of fresh water and provisions and ship chandelling services, which are rated amongst the best in the world and priced very competitively
